The screen will then highlight Hotel policy. (Want to change the sort order of your company-negotiated rates in the search results? Go to Company Profile, then Hotel Negotiated Rates.)
Encourage travelers to book reasonably priced hotel rooms based on your company's per diem guidelines.
Adjust settings for:
Domestic and International per diem defaults

Per diem location overrides (e.g. your Domestic maximum may $200 overall, but only $150 for Seattle - or $400 for New York)

Traveler group settings let you decide which groups will or won't observe per diems, and what tolerance level applies (such as allowing +$50 on every per diem limit for VIPs)

You may mark hotel properties with which you do not have negotiated rates as being out-of-policy. To load negotiated rates onto your site, please call your Consulting Manager
To help ensure that travelers are booking the hotel rates that count toward your company's contract volumes, negotiated rate properties will be highlighted as "preferred", but any specific non-negotiated room rates at those same properties will be marked as being "out of policy."
Note: If this policy is set, non-preferred hotels will be marked as "out of policy" if negotiated rate properties are also available in a given geographical region. If a region does not contain any properties for which you have negotiated rates, then nothing will be shown as "out of policy".)
Your hotel policy is now set. From the main Hotel page, in the window that reads Policy Types: Hotel, pull down the menu to Car.
