Search results are arranged according to policy settings and preferences created by the Travel Manager and combined with traveler selections (such as dates); policy considerations determine the default sort order. (If out-of-policy options have been chosen, then travelers or arrangers may also be provided with in-policy alternatives.) Within these results, however, listings may be re-sorted by Price, Preferred times, Shortest flights, Departure time, or Arrival time.
"Unreasonable" flights, as defined per traveler group within the Reasonable Flight Definition (see the Policy | How To: Set Up Air Policy section), will be sorted below reasonable options within the search results display. These unreasonable flights, i.e. those exceeding the maximum number of connections, exceeding the maximum flight duration and/or outside the specified departure time window from the traveler's selected time for that traveler group, are tagged with a yellow flag in search results. Hovering over text for the flag will alert travelers to the reasons why the flight is considered unreasonable.
We will never recommend out-of-policy flights, except where Advance Purchase policy has been violated across the board. If there are no reasonable in-policy flights, the Expedia Flight Recommendation pre-sell option will still be displayed, but based on the most reasonable flight that can be found.
Travel Managers may specify one of the following sort order selections per preferred airline setting: sort flights on preferred airlines in a specific order regardless of price, sort flights within all preferred airlines by price, or highlight flights on preferred airlines but do not sort them above non-preferred airlines. This sort order enables companies to drive a sort biased towards preferred airlines, biased towards price, or balanced between preferred airline status and price.
To always prioritize your negotiated above all other choices, even where those choices are lower priced, please contact your Corporate Consulting Manager to have your negotiated airline rate prioritized.

Expedia Corporate Rates are sorted to the top of the results page, followed by any preferred hotels your company has specified. Expedia Rates are broken out separately for each property where both rate types are available, including clear display of the individual choices at any given property.

All vendors are displayed in a single search. Car results are sortable by car size and car price, as well as by company policy-compliant options as relevant. Travelers may make informed selections with key information displayed up front in the search results: sample car image, clear display of off-airport or on-terminal status, and daily rate.
